God's opinion matters most .

Other people's view may seem 

A reliable way to measure 

Successes and failures

But in truth only God's opinion 

Is trustworthy .

Only God can set us free

As A Child

As a child and at times even today 

I still endure the bullying ,

My grandma always told me 

To laugh on the outside

While crying in the inside  .

I knew what she said .

Some people have that look 

When they look at me 

I look at them and smile at them

And I still think why .

And it was not what Christ 

Thought of me .

I still have a friend stands 

Along side me .

I hold on to God  ,

Who leads me through it all 

And He helps me grow every day .

At my age today I know how much       

Love and peace God provides me .

Overwhelmed

I remember the over flowing creek 

That I fished from from from time to time ,

I am not like the creek's submerged rocks .

In my most stressful moments ,

God will not let my trials sweep over me ,

In a way when I fish 

God will provide calmness , strengthen , guidance

Even if I do not get a fish .

Great things make sense .

You need to stand tall

And stand still .

You have a limit 

Of time so get to it .

You need to be quiet 

To listen to it all .

To get true rest .

And eat candy any day .

And some joy .

With days with pain and worry 

And fear always give your all

To tell someone you love them

Hopeless

We tend to think 

That we are self sufficient .

We complete an education

But not of hard knots ,

We work in our profession

And to never give up 

And we plan for retirement 

And we often think we have things 

Under control ,

But when difficulties come into our lives ,

We remember how hopeless

My mom and grandma always told me 

To take 1 day at a time .

They gave  me a lesson in faith and hope .

I am astonished that God cares for us .

There is a feeling of slavery 

By the symbolizing by the clutter 

In the house and also in my junk drawer .

Now , every time I open my clean drawer ,

You see , I do not have to hold on to sins 

Shame nor anger  .

God has given us our very breath and life 

Besides providing for our needs

How refreshing it might be to enjoy

God knows my thoughts ,desires ,

Plans and ambition .

God is concerned with the condition

Of my heart not my skin , weight ,

Hair , or nails or any part of my body .

Instead of fretting about how I look ,

I begin each day meditating 

On God's word and praying 

For more love , more faith 

And more of God in my heart .

He Is Never

The Lord is never blind to my tears

If it is a few or a million tears 

Not even those that come down at night .

He is never deaf when I pray to Him .

I can pray during the day or night .

He is never silent to my pain .

The pain that is during the day 

And the pain at night that can not be seen by me .

I know the Lord will hear and see 

As long as I trust and believe

I know there is a purpose for everything 

And I do not know why .

I know there is a purpose for everyone I meet .

Some people come into my life 

To test me I believe 

And I say why .

Some people come into my life to teach me 

More than wisdom

And yes some to use me . 

And yes some will bring out the best in me

Like my loved ones and my true friends 

And they always have my back 

And to those I love and pray for every day .

I know I can ask them for advise ,

For a hand to hold ,

Adulthood

There are people who make 

It through not just 1 day 

But even 1 week or even more faking 

To be an adult .

They will get offended 

If they are questioned  about anything .

We can not rescue them every time .

They need to do more listening and learning .

They are afraid 

To discover their own path 

They just do not have 

The zip-a-dee

Part of their doo-dah day 

That is so sad 

Because they need to stop the faking 

And realize how an adult should act 

And have a true happy day .

They say rabbits will jump 

And they will live for 8 years .

They say a pheasant can fly 

And they can live a few years .

They say dogs run 

And they live for 15 years .

They say turtles do nothing but craw 

And they live for 150 years .

If you trust and believe in God 

And smile and cry and laugh 

And pray to God every day 

God will let you enjoy life 

Until it is time for you to go home .
