Life Is A Matter Of Choices

Life is a matter of choices .
One chapter in life is not the whole story .
Changes in life change quickly 
'Always recognize the changes 
After they have happened .
Cherish the little small moments 
Just as if they were big ones .
Remember the happy days  ,
But also accept the hard ones .
Answer  every phone call
Someone may need you .
Smile as much as you can 
And make your hugs 
A little tighter whenever you can .
There are all kinds of tears in life .

Getting Old

When you are getting old 
You can not go incognito .
Getting old you know
Each day is only a ginger snap away .
Each day is a beautiful day  .
When you go outside 
You breathe fresh air 
That fuels fresh thinking .
When you are getting old 
You feel fortunate to be here 
Because yesterday was someone's 
Last day to breathe .
When you are old 
Nothing gets old 
Only more exciting 
Love when you are old 
Is sometimes just holding a tissue .

Being Old

I do not need permission to be happy
I do not need a hissy fit .
I smile for me .
I like taking selfies .
Life goes by in a flash .
I can dance by myself .
I do not follow silly rules.
I like being ridiculous from time to time .
I do not need to erase my wrinkles .
Being happy is the only thing that matters 
when you are old .
I hope I make a difference in someone's life .
I know there is no expiration date on me

I picked flowers and gave them 
To a stranger .

And we smiled together.
She thanked me .
I felt a connection with her

He Guides Us

Jesus calmed the storm 
On the sea of Galilee .
You need to read 
The Bible to believe the story .
Sometimes he does not calm the storm  ,
But he does guide us through them .
When doubts arise  ,
We can remember that Jesus

I drove by the football field 
Last Sat and again on Monday morning
The very young kids were at football practice  I saw my 
grandson practice 
he is the biggest  and slowest
Player
He reminds me of my brother

In time my grandson
Can be 1 of the best football players to ever come out of Miller 
SD
Well as his grandpa 
I can dream and wish the best to my grandson so hit like hell 
with every practice and every play
I will always be his couch 
Who never got payed 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Giving Up

When I am close to giving up 
And feel like there is no way 
Out of a situation  ,
I do not need to despair .
I do not need to know 
How God will work things 
Out for you and me .
I just need to keep my faith going 
And trust that God is working 
And can bring about good things .

I must make room for God's presence .

To clear from my habits 
And my heart
To creat room for God's Spirit
