I would not be here today 
If it had not been for Jesus 
I would not have had grandpa 
Or grandmas  or a mom and a dad 
If it had not been for Jesus .
I would not have found you 
If it had not been for Jesus 
I would not have loved 
All my aunts and uncles  and cousins
And all my brothers and sisters .
If not for Jesus I would not of had yesterdays
And 1 tomorrow ,

You touched me .
You brought joy to my soul .
I have the moments to remember  .
The sound of laughter .
The moments of holding you 
And touching you .
The tender words we shared .

Was It Worth It

I do not laugh at the old days 
Because I lived them .
I want to retreat into time sometimes ,
There are so many turning points
In my life .
I have pain no one will ever see,
I will tell everyone I am fine 
For the shape I am in .
I can not or want to play some games .
I will always have a desire to live 
Until I die .
There is nothing I have to prove 
But to fight to live .
I have people I love .
I want them to listen to me 
Because I may help them in a small way .
I wish I could see more .
I wish my ears could hear more .
I will never give up my spirit .
I got this far because of the Lord .

A Penny

Grandma always tried to bring 
Out the best in me .
Once I found a penny laying 
On the ground 
Grandma told me the penny 
I found 
Came from heaven .
The angels toss them from heaven .
When an angel misses you ,
They toss a penny down 
Sometimes just to cheer you up 
To make your smile come out of your frown .
So do not let the penny pass you by  ,
When you feel blue 
It just may be a penny from heaven 
That an angel has tossed to you .
