Pay Attention

God is always present 
And ready to show us 
all something good ,
But we are not always 
Paying attention .
It is so easy for us 
To go about our lives 
And forget that God is with us 
And loves and cares for us ,
I hope we all are more mindful 
Of God's constant presence 
And I want us all to help shine 
The light of Christ into the lives 
Of more people .

Live

We all will be dead longer 
Than we are a live .
Take the time to enjoy the out doors ,
Lay on the grass on a sunny day .
Always pick your own happiness .
Let us talk more among us .
Walk slowly with friends .
At night look up at the stars .
Be thankful for the people 
You share this earth with .
We need to rest and breath 
In peace each and everyday 
For today may be your last day .
So let us all pray 
Before we go to sleep .

It Holds

What holds us back from following 
Jesus all the way?
Jesus offers us the gift of himself 
To share in his life by following 
Him every day .
With this comes the opportunity 
To clutter our lives 
To make even more room for Jesus .

Looking Back

When I look back I am grateful 
With every breath I us to remind 
Me of the fear I had of her,
But now each breath 
Is a reminder of my strength and hope 
Now living in my heart .
Now I can pick my own happiness .
It was not just about overcoming 
A type of virus  ,
It was about finding faith and healing 
Inside my soul .
In all kinds of tough times ,
Faith and prayer can be the lights 
That guide me .
It is more than words .
It is like a rope that pulls 
Me out of my darkness 
And into a new life .

How Does It End

I do not know how my story ends ,
But I know there is always 
The hope of God's salvation .
I do not what others to be upset  ,
So I rarely share the story 
Of my life with only my brothers and sisters ,
But I trust that in time , 
God's answer , protection will turn 
My situation around .
If God's answers are different 
From what I hope and pray for ,
I will speak of my weaknesses 
And hardship 
Because in and through it all  ,
God works powerfully .

Every Day

Every day I look in the mirror ,
I am thankful to all my brothers 
Who gave me all kinds of gifts .
As I pray each day ,
I thank God for all my brothers 
Who gave me money 
And so much more 
By sending Jesus as my Lord Savior 
My way when I needed him so badly .
Jesus and my brothers 
Have all offered generous love to me .
These gifts inspire me to live a life 
Committed to following Christ 
And to help others with love every day .

I want and need your hug 
Because my spirit is saging . 
Your hug is like a giant air bag to me .
I want to sink

I do not own a home no more .
I have lived a long life .
I read from the Bible 
And I still seek to grow spiritually .
At my age I try to give back 
like my brothers told me 
I should help others 
Who are suffering .
I believe my life can be 
An example of God's loving

He Is Always

God is always with us 
What a joy it is to experience 
God's peace in all the trials we face .
We need not fear the construction 
Zone of life 
Because they are opportunities 
For our faith 
To grow firm in the One who created us .

Music

Faith without word and music is dead .
We need to make music with 
The Lord in our hearts
And to give thanks to God for everything .
When we do practice 
Gratitude and center our hearts 
On thankfulness ,
Yes we not only honor God 
But we are made joyful and peaceful and loving .

My Church

On Saturday night  I went to church .
The church was not full .
While waiting for the service 
To start ,
I looked up at the arches 
Above and though of all
Of my generations 
That had worshiped the Lord
In this church .
There is an unbroken chain of people 
Seeking the Lord for guidance ,
Support and comfort .
I know God is the same everywhere 
I think about my family and friends 
Who have gone before me 
And sat in this church .
Thank you Lord for taking 
My family and friends to heaven .

When I think of God  ,

At my age these days 
I have truly realized
That this is my life 
Which I was given by God .
I should do things 
That make me happy 
And stop trying to do things
