Mom's Casserole

She loved to make casseroles 
With forever love .
She always knew the right choice 
Of meat to put into it .
Her casseroles were special .
They always glued people to her table .
She tried to surpass the flavor 
And taste from the one casserole before .
We all loved to eat her food .
She always had enough for everyone 
To eat .
She did not like to use recipes .
She would make a lot of things from scratch .
Whenever mom was in the kitchen 
Or not she treated everyone and everything 
With love .

I love the warm April night we shared 
Going down a country road 
With friends during a hay ride .
As we go up a hill we almost 
Touch the moon as it glowed .
Our world is a little sweeter

If some of the girls get cold hands

As we go down the hill
We will all embrace the unknown together .

As we walk holding hands

It is ok to be  silent as we go around  .

How Many Times

I wonder how many times 
I have .
missed God's signs 
For me after all these years .
I often pray for something 
Or for my loved ones 
And try to wait patiently 
For God's response.
But perhaps God has already 
Responded and I am just not focused

God's response may be unexpected .
We will not always know 
How God will answer us ,
But God will answer 
Even if it is how we least expect .

As the years went by ,

It all got worse as the years went by .
