Forgiveness

Forgiveness is difficult .

When we are hurting .

Oh to overcome evil with good .

Oh it is hard to forget .

We need to humble ourselves 

Before God 

And not take matters into our own hands .

Our relationship with those at work 

And others in our lives will be stronger 

When we live in obedience to God's teaching .

When I Pray

When I say my prayers 

During day or night ,

I am trusting God to provide

Me with God's understanding .

I know , God is faithful 

And will guide my thoughts ,

Words and deeds .

I know , I can always

She blinks at everything .

She never talks about what she can do .

But what she can not do .

She is always lonely in her eyes .

She does not have big dreams .

There is nothing she loves 

To do away from her family .

She never keeps her eyes wide open .

I want to always keep my eyes open for her

When God says to go ,

With Jesus' example by making 

Time to be alone to think of praying

He can reenergize us and help us

The Circumstances

The circumstances of my life has changed ,

But God never changes .

God is the light that shines in darkness .

Even though I encountered shadows in the season ,

They were fleeting .

God's light penetrated the darkness 

And offers me hope and courage

My Grandma , Mom , Dad

I believe it was my grandma and mom and dad

That brought me to Christ

And their examples convinced me 

Of the value of patient prayers .

It is easy to get tired of praying 

For a particular person 

Or situation and sometimes 

It does not seem to do any good .

But God does hear and will always 

Answer with divine wisdom .

I need to believe this .

This World

When we look to this world 

For fulfillment ,

We live with uncertainty ,

But we can always rely 

On God .

Knowing and loving God

I am grateful for a church 

That cares for me 

And for a ministry 

That provides a safe 

And fun experience sometimes

Through the light of God's love ,

The Holy Spirit gradually 

Changed my perspective.

I began to see how blessed

By placing our trust

Jesus' poverty has won you

Untold riches .

Riches that are available 

To you in a special way .

So come to him in poverty

Take Jesus at his word .

Believe him when he says

Then welcome him .

Not Automatically

God's will does not happen automatically .

He wants us to work with him to make it happen .

That is why he needs Elizabeth's no to her relatives .

The God News

The good news is that Jesus'

Body and blood are still being

Offered for us today .

Because Jesus  has willingly 

Took our place on the cross 

And paid the price 

For the consequences 

Of our sins .

We can now eat 

His body and drink His blood 

And receive forgiveness 

In remembrance of our guilt free 

Living in Calvary .

When we are rich

We share the love of our Savior

Do Not Give Up

Do not give up on our effort to do good .

We may see the result of our efforts in this life ,

But not always .

God's time is different than ours 

And even when we may not see it ,

God is working to mold us 

Into the image of Christ .

God promises that if we

Sometimes as we go through difficulties

We feel that our whole lives will be hard .

But just as a friend called to cry over his fears ,

I have learned that we can always call on God .

Through prayer we can share 

Our struggles with God 

And find relief from any situation

Get Lost

It is easy for me to get lost with worry 

About the future ,

To pray only for my needs 

Without seeking a real encounter with God .

When I think back 

On what it was like to be a cold 

And look at the children around us ,

I can learn much 

From those smiles and expressions 

Of faith .
