By Faith in Christ  ,

We are are able to see beyond 

The troubles and struggles 

Of this life .

St Paul promises us 

The suffering of this present 

Time are not worth comparing 

With the glory 

That is to be revealed to us 

In heaven .

People

When people we know and love 

Face the challenges of illness or grief ,

We have the opportunity to comfort 

Them with the blessed assurance

That nothing in this life 

And not even death 

Will be able to separate us 

From love of God in Christ Jesus

It Is Astonishing

God's astonishing mercy 

Even enables us to forgive 

Someone who has deeply 

Wounded us by hurting 

Words or actions .

What a blessing it is 

When God's wondrous grace 

And mercy are reflected in our living 

And forgiving words and action.

We are forgiven in order to forgive ,

Foretaste

We can enjoy a foretaste 

Of this perfect reality 

Here and now .

As we seek fellowship 

With God daily ,

We experience the joy 

Of His presence .

Even as we struggle against sin ,

We experience in part 

The victory that is in Christ ,

The one who fully conquered sin

And death ,

Christ's Church

Christ's church is called

To lift high the cross 

As a witness 

To the world of what Christ 

Accomplished for us 

When He died on the cross

Without it , there is no salvation

Our Lord offers us so much more ,

The living water and the bread of life .

Jesus offers us satisfies our true

And lasting needs ,

Full and free forgiveness ,

Strength and blessings

For each day 

And the assurance of God's 

Eternal joy and peace .

His Cross

We to have crosses to bear 

Like an illness , a challenging assignment ,

The loss of a loved one 

Or the persecution 

For our faith .

As we carry these sufferings by faith ,

We point people to the suffering of Jesus 

And his sacrifice on the cross .

It was the cross 

That gave us peace

And strength for our journey .
