It Is Time

It is almost Christmas
On our own  , we are a doomed flock .
Oh how great is God's goodness .
His love endures forever .
He gathers , enlightens us . ,
God protects us .
We are His own .
He sent Jesus the Good Shepherd ,
To be our Savior and King .
He is the giver of life .
He will live eternally .

Reminisce

 Old age has come at a bad time
Just as I was beginning to know everything .
The longer I live the sweeter the Lord grows .
The longer I serve Him
The more I pray .
I walk now into the unknown
Trusting the Lord now that I am getting old .
I remember things and people
That are near my heart
And are mine to hold .
Oh I reminisce the memories more
Now that I am getting old ..

Retire

When you retire you will have many things to treasure forever  .
You will know time is always precious .
You will laugh more and spend more time thinking
And sometimes out of the blue
Your emotions will move to tears .
You will know where you came from
And you know where you are
And where you want to be .
You will enjoy life .
You will keep your dreams alive
And you will never give up on hope .
You hope to give more hugs
And to smile more and call people and kids Smiley .
You will always pray for your family and your loved ones
And have religion and go to church
And pray for your fellow man .
You are never to old to pray .

Craving

I have a craving for frog eye salad  ,
Peanut butter cookies ,
cream peas , my special green tea  ,
Roast beef with carrots
Onions and cabbage
And seeing people and family
I have not seen in a long time
But the most I am craving for is hope .

All people need people .
There is no ordinary person .
Everyone needs to relax the tension
Of their body .
Everyone needs to calm the restlessness
Of their mind
And still the thoughts
Which worry us all .
We need our body and soul to rest

Jesus' Call

Some people  do not think Jesus' call
Is all that urgent .
They take their time
And ignore His words .
Come to me and I will give you rest .
They need to hear and repent and believe
In God .
For God so loves the world  ,
That He gave his only son .
That whoever believes in Him
Should not perish
But have eternal life .

Do Not Bother

We never bother our Lord
When we pray .
He hears every prayer .
He is never to busy
He never sleeps .
He never spends hours
Hunting pheasants
With his cell phone off .
His ears are open
To all who call Him .
