The big thing I ever paid for was a car .

The biggest thing I ever got was a house .

The biggest thing I have is the ability to go far ,

In my dreams .

It dose not cost a dime .

The big thing I hope to get in  time

Is respect .

The biggest thing over all and the thing

I may need almost every day

That does not cost a dime or one penny 

Is a hug from you almost every day

And you don’t ask why big guy .

Winding Road

The old winding road

That takes me home .

The road has  curves

And straight a ways .

On the way home,

I ‘m always in a hurry .

If I drove on a sunny day ,

I may be lucky

To see a bald eagle sitting high

On  a big stack of hay .

That would make my day .

The wind always blows

And doubt always flies in the wind .

I should take my time driving ,

On the old winding road

And take advantage of what I may see .

I will get home eventually .

The Grand Scheme

 

God has the grand scheme  .

Parents hope their grand scheme

Will bring their children peace

And tranquility  .

We work at it every day

As parents and for those days

That seem harder than others

What should we do ?

Some parents go to their parents

For advise .

It seems the main thing to to is pray

To God .

Pray to God your own special way

And never give up on your grand scheme .

Remember God has his own scheme

And he has been praying

For all of us from the beginning

As God does and we should always do

And that is pray for peace and tranquility

Until we see him at the end of his grand scheme .

My Dad

He taught me right from wrong .

He always said I should be seen

Not heard .

I guess , he knew me before I knew me !

When I was at my lowest ,

He would talk to me

And carry me to a better place  .

He had big blue eyes

And strong hands .

If I ever did anything wrong ,

He could just look at me

And make me cry .

If I had any question

Of what I could do ,

He would take my hand

And would say

Yes you can .

He believed in  me .

He was mine for just a while .

He is and always will be

My hero .

My dad !
