Lord Help Me

Lord help me to pray .

I can slobber when I try to pray .

I can pray with my eyes closed

Or opened ,

Even when they are full

Like they are today .

Lord you need to help me

Buckle up .

I need to get focused .

I know I can pester you anytime .

It is time for you and me

To work together to help

Our loved ones .

And me to today .

Your best friend is someone special .

Your best friend will never rest .

He will always have your back

Even if you do not deserve it .

Your true friend knows how to control

His breathing in all kinds of situations .

He never stares at you

When you talk .

He will listen to all that you tell him .

There is a special table in his heart .

You can put everything you have

On your friend’s special table

And he will take care of everything

You put on his table for you

The best way he knows how

For he is your best friend in any  kind of weather

And he will love  you no matter what .

Main Street Wisdom

I know that wisdom is the quality

Of being wise and having good judgment .

With wisdom I get knowledge

And with wisdom I learn .

There is main street wisdom.

There is wisdom in the barber shop .

There is wisdom in the beauty salon .

There is wisdom in the bars on main street ,

Even at the drug store  on a Saturday morning !

There is wisdom all along the street ,

After all these years ,

I learned a lot from all the people

On both sides of main street of my home town .

Main street wisdom is all around !

Bear your soul

Then you might open

someone’s eyes .

Don’t tell people

You can not do something

And you want to give up .

Who is down .

The coach said do not retreat

Keep going on .

When things go wrong ,

And you don’t  know where to go

Faith will open the door

And show you the right road to travel .

You need to be rock solid inside and outside always .

You need to know that friends and family makes family .

When you have faith friends and family ,

You will never have a naked day .

Remember each day is a rebirth .

As long as you go the right direction ,

You will be strong on all the roads you travel .

Your friends and family and God will always

Be on your side .

You will never be alone

When people ask about you ,

They say you work at ?? .

There is more to your life than

What you do at work .

You need to worry more about

What your children see

In your life

Than what they see on TV .

People may not remember

Exactly what you did or do

Or what you said ,

But they will remember

You from how you made them feel .

You need to prove yourself everyday

To yourself and be proud of everything

A mirror is a true representation

Of your self .

When you look into a mirror

Is there someone you truly

Don’t know looking back at you ?

Looking into the mirror you

You can not be ducked .

A mirror only shows

What you want to see .

Remember God does not need

A mirror for he sees all things

Even on a Sunday

So always smile into your mirror .
