A Long Night

In the blackness of the night ,

I see your shadow passing by ,

I think in the darkness

Because I can not sleep .

I know I am not alone ,

But what is the world going to do to me ?

I know some of tomorrow's worries

Are past regrets .

When I do look up ,

I see the sparkle in the stars ,

God thank you for knowing me ,

Loving me and being by my side every night .

The Outdoors

When you go outdoors

You have truly arrived .

Oh to have a dog outside with you

For it is such a loveable creature

That has tail wags instead of his tongue .

You can alter your life by altering

Your attitude of mine

When you go outside .

When your outdoors you feel happy ,

You don't need to wait for some rapture

That's future and far away

Be happy and joyous and glad

And soon you'll forget

That you were sad

For when you go outside

You have truly arrived .

Love can be seen through

A telescope

Not a microscope .

Love can not be washed .

It makes no difference

Where it is bestowed .

It always brings in big returns .

The love you liberate in your work

Is the love you keep .

Love is not soft like water ,

It is hard like rock

On which the wave of hatred

Beat in vain .

Make sure you have every day

Love in your vain .

Kindness is the oil that takes

The friction out of life .

Kindness is a perfume

You can not pour on others

Without getting a few drops on yourself .

The world belongs to the enthusiast

Who has kindness .

What sunshine is to flowers

As kindness is to humanity .

When I'm running

After all these years

I'm running in my own zone .

It is like nothing can hurt me .

I was never fast

But I am free

Any problem I have can be heavy

But it is just a blur when I run

Because I am in my own zone .

An early morning run

With the beauty of the world

In front of me , I feel

I am part of the human race

And I am ready to take on the world .

When I run it is like there is nothing

Else I need to do

But run and feel free .

The aim of education

Is to enable us to continue

Our learning .

What a fool does at the end

The wise does in the beginning .

A peck of common sense is worth

A bushel of learning .

Wisdom is to know

What is worth knowing

And to do what is best worth doing .

Who can be fooled some of the time
