I Still Believe

Sometimes I have doubts .

Even though I know in my heart 

That God is real and trust worthy ,

At times I still wrestle with questions 

Like , Lord are you there ?

Do you really care 

That I am going through these difficulties ?

I have been upset and bewildered ,

And I have asked why Lord ?

After calming down today ,

I feel as if God was asking me ,

Do you still love me ?

Do you still believe in me ?

Yes Lord , I still love , believe 

And trust you .

A Grandfather's Love

You are grandpa's big guy ,

You get to wear grandpa's

Big cowboy hat 

Out of grandpa's love for him ,

He wants something better 

For his big guy's life 

Than what grandpa could provide .

You will never know all the things 

That your grandpa gave up 

For his big guy .

Remember , God wants something 

Better for all of us .

Every day big guy I hope 

You become determined to live a life 

That your grandpa would be proud of .

Do not forget your grandfather 

Who will love you until the end of time .

Today

I will try to live through this day only .

I will be happy .

I will adjust to just what is 

Right in front of me .

I will exercise my soul and strengthen 

My mind and body by praying .

I will find a quiet time and relax for a while .

I will be unafraid

When Do I Run

When do I run to the Lord ?

Is it only when I am afraid ?

Is it only when I have a need ?

My honest answer humbles me .

I often seek God in times 

Of want or times of fear .

But when things are going well 

I sometimes forget to feel delight 

That God is always with me .

I am happy to know that God 

Is never hiding in my times of trouble .

I sure can be over joyed that God 

Is always with me .

A Message Of Hope

To offer a helpful message of hope ,

Comfort and gratitude .

Thank God for the Lord's steadfast 

Love , faithfulness and care .

We are reminded that God 

Will not forget us ,

God will hold us close forever .

We know that on the day 

We cry out aloud or in our hearts 

On that very day 

God hears us .

Even if we are very ill ,

God has a purpose for us 

That will be fulfilled .

I will not forsake the work of your hands .

You made me , Lord ,

Do not forget me .

Even with everything I am going through ,

Even in the midst of my trouble 

I am still here 

In meed of your presence and your care 

And I will keep praying .

A Solid Teacher

I am thankful for solid teaching ,

But I am also thankful for the many 

People who have been hands on teachers .

They have shown me by their lives

What it looks like to be a helper of Christ 

And how they have made it easier 

For me to see how I can walk that path to .

Jesus Promises

Jesus promises that he would always 

Be with us and that he would uphold us 

Through anything we might encounter .

When we feel as if we are hanging

Off a tall cliff with no help in sight ,

We can recall the promises 

Of God to be with us through it all .

God will hold us up tightly 

And instruct us in the way 

We should go .

If we listen , we will hear 

The encouraging words of the Lord .
