When you are old and the years
Go by so quickly ,
And something happens to you
Out of the blue
And you get hurt once again
And you truly got burned
In the same place several years ago .
You did scratch some old scare tissue
That is true
But sometimes it takes old scare tissue
To be taken off until you look back
And then you understand
How and why some thing happened to you .
Now you know what to do .
It takes years for scare tissue
To get hard all over again
Even a kick in the shin .
Now leave it alone .
