The darkness descended on me .
When the moon disappeared ,
The lighting slashed the sky
Followed by a rainstorm
And crackling thunder .
As a child I awake and I am afraid .
I imagined all kinds of things
Like a grisly monster
That is about to jump me .
By day break , however
the sounds vanished ,
The sun rose and calmness
Returned
As the birds were in happy flying
Through the sun shine .
The difference between
The frightening darkness of the night
And the joy of the day light
Was remarkably sharp .
But remember God is light
In Him there is no darkness at all .
Who ever follows Jesus
Will never walk in darkness .
But will have the light of life .
