What A Friend

There are high spots 

In our lives 

And most of them

Come about through 

Encouragement from a friend .

To be wise is to choose 

A wise friend .

If you have a gift for showing

Kindness to others 

And do it gladly .

In as much as anyone pushes 

You nearer to God ,

He or she is your friend .

A friend is a person 

With a sneaky knack 

Of saying good things 

About you behind your back .

When you listen to your friends ,

When you encourage them ,

When you do things their way ,

Well sometimes 

You really tell them ,

I am glad you are my friend .
