Why do I work ?
For a pay check ?
For respect ?
For a sense of self worth ?
All those things are good reasons to work ,
But I will never forget
That your work is part of a long picture .
I feel God wants to use my hands ,
My intelligence and all my efforts
To help build His kingdom
The place where grace dwells .
At my age as time goes by
I have realized all this
As I rest
Before I go back to work
For myself and also God .
