Mom and Grandma

What do you say to a mother that brought you into this world?
What do you say to a mother that fed you when you were young?
What do you say to a mother that always has a dollar when you need it
Right away?
What do you say to a mother that always lets you watch the T. V.
Station you want?
What do you say to a mother who has always been by your side when
You are sick?
What do you say to a mother who will always let you use the car?
What do you say to a mother who tries to have you in church every
Sunday?
What do you say to a mother who will always worry about her children
From 1 to 92?
I LOVE YOU MOM AND GRANDMA

A Hug

A hug comes in one size fits all.
It has been determined that a hug is great for your health.
A hug rattles only love.
A hug never runs dry.
It never said what's the matter it never really talks,
But it always feels good.
You never lose anything with a hug.
A hug does almost every thing,
It could even keep a flag from touching the ground.
A hug is never washed away but could be rubbed off
But is never forgotten.

Winter in South Dakota

It's Winter In South Dakota
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty - five below
Oh how I love South Dakota
When the snow 's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut
Yes the winter here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave South Dakota
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground

Just had to send this because
It's snowing again
given to me 1-6-09

Love

Love can cause delusions.
Love and marriage is the end of hope!
When we Question
Love, we must love that much more.
Love is making your life count.
When you look at someone every day
You some times stop looking at them that special way
So just stop and look at who you love
With open eyes today.

Life Line

Life line is but a pat on the back
It is as powerful as a smile that could turn
Down the sound of thunder
Life line is but a kiss yes a kiss
That kisses away the rain
Never complain about anything for you
Will have to explain the thunder in your life
And the tears in the rain

True Friends

In the grass that is dancing in the wind
on a hot summer day, we are but shadows
in God's green earth.
We always watch out for each other.
May we always be wounded healers.
As friends, we first remember
the things we did together --
Second, we have feelings we shared.
The third thing we have together
are the memories.
True friends are true relatives
not by blood but just by their hearts.
We are true friends.

Connected

Waiting is a normal part of family
Life they say,
We first wait for a child's birth,
Then for small legs to slow down
Then for those legs to run home
Every day.
Later we wait for the teenager
To return home safe before the sun comes
Up shinning in the morning
Finally we wait alone anticipating
A call or visit from an adult child.
Waiting is sacred time for even
In waiting we are connected.

Run With Me

When I run
I can sweat,
Pray and cry
And nobody can tell
The difference
But God and that is all that
Counts.
God even said it is ok to cry.
So run with me always.

Now that I am old
And have more things
To worry about, I run even more.
I run to get away
From the everyday things
To get nearby God you see.
Now I run and sweat and cry
And pray to God
For help so God helps me
All that he can.
For God even said it is ok to cry
So, run with me always.

A Child of Mine

My child, you come into this world
and you own it all, for your
world is alive.
I will always love you.
I will be loyal to you.
My ears will never be plugged to hear
or unable to listen to you.
I will laugh with you never at you.
You will always be welcomed
in your own home.
I will show you the light in the dark.
I will show you love every day and
every night.
I want you to chase after your dreams,
Even if it is a windmill - for I
want you to always run with
the wind and to have it all.
I want you to learn to fish,
To hunt and to run and never give up
on your dreams and always keep
your head held up high.
My dream is to watch you grow
and achieve all your dreams and to
be the best you can be.

Beautiful Dream

A cloud in the sky is like a man's dream
it may develop into something beautiful
the sun is like a man's eye
it watches over everything
the blue in the sky is like giving hope
to a man's dream
the rain that comes from the cloud
is like telling a man that a dream of his did not come true
the wind that comes after a good rain
is like washing a man's eyes
so he may see a more beautiful dream
come true
the heat of the day is like giving energy
to a dream to grow
the color green of new grown grass
is like giving color to a man's dream
may you and I never walk on
a man's beautiful dream

Daddy's Little Girl

You're just a little girl
You're mine, all mine.
And when you roll those great big eyes
Oh, how do they shine!
Perhaps You may not amount to much
But you're mine, just the same.
Someday among the old folks,
You'll have a great big name.
Your Daddy loves you dearly,
He loves you all the time.

My Flag

Flags come in all kinds of colors
Mine is white
Some are light
Some are heavy at times
Some are large some are small
I use mine when I am happy or sad
When I am low or on a high
When I laugh or when I cry
Even when the wind gets in my eye
I sometimes lay it by my head at night
I know I can use it anytime of day or night
The flag I use and fly at will
Is the handkerchief or the snot rag
That I carry in my back pocket
Is called my prayer flag
