Your Set Time

Your set time has come . 

She always pushed the darkness away 

She would stop what was stopping me .

She would in kindle in me 

With the fire of her love .

Strive for maturity .

If I fell 7 times ,

She would pick me up every time .

My home is one step closer to heaven .

When I am home ,

I can be still and nourish my soul

As I spend time with you in prayer .

When I am with you Lord ,

To make a decision ,

Lord teach me to number my days

So that I may gain a heart of wisdom

Grow Up Never

I am getting old

But I will never grow up .

When I play with my grandson

Down on my knees ,

I am down to our fun level

He will understand my love  .

Our celebration begins 

On the floor on our knees

All the things down here are good indeed .

We are both bigger than the cars we drive .

We both take time to take our naps together .I

I tell him we need to take naps and to be aware 

Of the angels who take care

Of us always 

No matter how old we are

And we will race the cars again 

When we get up from our naps 

And your grandpa will truly never

At 90 it is not a number it is just living .

You contribute to my life .

A burden to me .

You always speak the truth

Not what others want to hear even at 90 .

You will listen and keep learning .

When I was young ,

Great Grandma

God's world was in her heart .

You had the privilege to talk to her .

When you ate at her house

You didn't want to leave.

When she cooked there was always 

Room for one more at her table 

Or a TV tray .

Grandma's house was on solid rock

That is how everyone saw it .

In her house you learn the lesson

Of trust in her special school

Of trials 

Grandma helped to heal the wounds

Made by harsh or angry words .

She always said turning down the volume 

Of life allows you to listen to God .

Grandma would let you sleep on the other side

Of the bed 

If you wanted to sleep there on a weekend !

She always had cookies and the coffee was on .

She always showed everyone 

How she wanted everyone to act among everyone.
