God’s Blessings

There are days I wish I could change 

Something’s 

That happens in the past .

I know there is a reason 

The rear view mirror 

Is so small 

And the windshield is so big .

Where you are headed

Is much more important 

Than what you left behind .

I know if I am right 

No one remembers .

If I am wrong 

No one forgets .

I know my storms 

Are only temporarily

To those who kicked me down

When I was down ,

Invisible Love

When angels sense you need them
They come unseen from everywhere
To help and comfort you .
At work I will open doors for strangers .
I will entertain babies
By calling them Smiley
And touch them to see if they are squeaky .
I will talk to their parents
Who seem to be lonely .
I will smile at a passerby
Because I was raised 
Not to stand idly by
And live in a world
Where love is invisible
Because there are angels
On every shoulder.

Who Next

When I think back on my life ,

I see that the Lord gave us 

The gift of other people .

What relationships might he be 

Moving  me toward now ?

Is there someone he is asking me 

To parent or befriend ?

Is there someone he is calling  me

To learn from and listen to?

Whom might the Lord be prompting 

Me to clam and care for next ?

Yes I will get off my —-butt !

It is a struggle for me 

To lay down my pride ,

To set aside my selfishness 

And to swallow my sarcastic retorts 

When he or she has pushed me

To the edge of my patience .

Jesus is always forgiving ,

Faithful and fully alive in the world

When I pray the Our Father 

I ask God to forgive me.

 A wise person I know told me

We are all on God’s time table .

 Give generous time and compassionate 

Encouragement  every day

Forgiveness

We know that God’s forgiveness 

Is unconditional and gratuitous .

God’s mercy tells us is like an abyss .

When I find it hard to forgive ,

It helps to think about taking 

A leap into something 

I can not see the end of .
