God Uses Us

To help others does not require 

That we have certain skills 

Or experience 

To serve requires a willing heart 

And the desire to just hear .

When our hearts serve 

With love and sincerity ,

God can use us and will help us .

We do not need to worry 

About whether we are capable 

Or have everything we need 

In our ministry .

If we joyfully do God's work 

God will provide whatever we need .

Remember when we try our best 

We can let God take care of the rest .

It is God who does the guiding ,

I have been struggling needlessly 

With burdens that were not mine to carry .

The heavy weight of worry 

And anxiety began to be replaced by peace

Compassionate

Nothing we struggle with is beyond 

Our Saviors concern .

If someone throws rocks at us 

He comforts us .

When life brings disappointments ,

He walks with us through despair .

In our troubles , He preserves us 

Stretching out His hand against both 

The anger of our foes 

And our own deepest fear .

The Decision

When we are making decisions ,

Big or small , about our careers,

Money , relationships 

And more , may we seek God's wisdom 

Found in the Bible , godly counsel ,

And the leading of the Holy Spirit  .

His guidance is essential

A fulfilling life and not creating messes !

God Wants

God wants us to move beyond

Our fear and worry and shame .

God wants us to live openly ,

Honestly , into the fullness 

Of who and what we are .

Oh who God created us to be ,

That means entering 

A space of compassion and vulnerability 

The way Jesus did .

Often it is in those moments of raw 

Unabashed honesty 

That God speaks through us most powerfully .

Let Go

When I have trouble letting go ,

It helps me to read the Bible 

And read God's promises .

God has the answer to every problem 

Or challenge I will ever face 

And his promises to be with me no matter what .

God is never standing around wondering what to do .

It is also helpful to recall God's 

Past faithfulness in my life .

He answers prayers and situations 

That seem hopeless but eventually works out 

From the smallest to the biggest problem ,

If we let go of our worries 

And let God handle them ,

I need to pray , trust and believe 

In God that He will always come through for me .

Do You Have Access

Having access to God's truth 

Is an amazing privilege .

We should treat His instructions

To us in the Scriptures

As something to be cherished 

Like the apple of our eyes .

Oh to write His words of wisdom 

On the tablet of our heart .

As we seek to understand 

The Bible and live according 

To its wisdom ,

We like scribes as drawing 

God's truth from our fingers 

Down into our hearts 

To be taken with us 

Wherever we go .

Leaving

Everyone is happy to go .

Everyone can not wait to see

Their friends and family

To see what they see along the way 

The pheasants hiding in the ditch

The beautiful trees 

And what could be

Love Like Jesus

 

We all have felt let down 

Or disappointed by someone .

When this happens ,

We may be tempted to give 

Up on the person 

Who has made us feel that way

We may feel hurt to the point of despair .

But we can choose to maintain 

Pease by turning to God .

By turning to God we can learn 

So much by looking at Jesus' actions .

Jesus challenged His disciples 

And all of us .

To follow his example .

Thankfully we have the Holy Spirit 

To help us serve and love others 

Even when we feel like they 

Have wronged us .

Living for God now ,

By the leading of the Holy Spirit ,

Makes the decisions about what 

Is next much easier .

The Lord gives wisdom .

He holds success in store 

For the upright .

He guards the course 

Of the just and protect

That God may supply 

What we need for us to live peacefully 

By His guidelines now and always 

And may He guide us

God's Willingness

There is no justification 

For behaving badly .

Jesus has asked us to follow Him 

In obedience and he supplies 

The means to do so .

A hard unrepentant heart 

Will always hinder His purpose for us ,

But His ability to use us 

Does not depend on a lengthy 

Pattern of good behavior .

It is based on God's willingness 

To work through us as we

Are saved and growing by grace .

Remember , you do not have to work 

For His grace for it is free .

As I sit outside this cold night 

I know it has to be dark 

Before there is light .

The stars up in the sky 

Are like your eyes looking 

Down on me .

Those 2 big bright stars 

Right there right above me

The Alarm

The horn is to herald 

The return of the messiah ,

Our King 

For with His return ,

We will be called 

To the judgement seat .

Those who are in Christ will spend

The uncounted billions around the world ?

He Remembers

He remembers His covenant forever ,

The word that He commanded ,

For a thousand generations .

The Lord is righteous 

In all His ways and faithful

You and I do not look at the trouble

For the things we see now will soon be gone ,

But the things we can not see will last forever .

A Clean Slate

Some days I walk closely with God ,

I align my steps with God .

Those are great days .

But sometimes I follow my own agenda ,

Barely checking to see if I am following God's path .

The good news is that every day 

Begins with a clean slate .

You know if I have a great day with God ,

I can not rest and coast through the next day .

You know on the days when I struggle 

In my walk with God ,

I can go to sleep knowing 

That tomorrow will be a new day

Who Loves Me

The Lord is merciful .

He is kind and patient ,

His love never fails .

God Has It Covered

On a night I could not sleep 
With the heavy weight
Of worry and anxiety in sight
I started praying
After praying and praying
God took all the worries and anxieties .
They were replaced by peace ,
And I was able to go to sleep .

God had it all covered
And I was under the covers

Grow Up

When we reject our own 

Or someone else's physical appearance  ,

We reject God's wonderful creation .

We are all a beautiful creation of God .

Regardless of how we look , walk or run .

We are all precious in God's eyes .

The Lord is full of compassion and mercy .

He is slow to get angry
