The Size Of The Family

It is not the size of the family .
It is the love in the home .
It is the love we share
When we are together .
It is the size of our joys
And fun and our smiles
We share .
The first step is the hardest step  .
The phone may never ring ,
But the bathroom is always open
To be used by friends and family .
The door of  the home
Will open for one
Or for one at a time .
We all need one hug at a time .
It is never the size of the family .
It is the size of the family that is all mine .

Who Is Watching

You can sleep and no one
Is watching .
You can pray and only one
person  will hear .
You can work and no one
Has to watch ,
You can play and nobody
Has to watch you .
You can sing and no one
Has to hear you .
You can dance when no one
Is watching .
You can not walk
Without someone watching you  .

The Unexpected Sunshine

I know morning starts at midnight .
The only light is the stars up high
And I can not see the stars .
I know it is just a matter of time
Before the sunshine .
These past days or weeks
The only thing I see are the clouds .
The clouds are only temporary
That is hard to believe .
The unexpected sunshine will burst
Back into my life .
I need to keep my head up
And my eyes open and believe .
The sunshine will come unexpected .
I need to talk like it is going to happen today .
Oh my God , I see the sunshine
Coming through the clouds  .
Oh my God  . all the clouds
Have disappeared suddenly .
Oh what a beautiful day .

Grandma's Eyes

I have trouble controlling
What was thrown my way today .
My Shadow is deep .
I miss just sitting beside her .
I don't have all the answers
That she had for me .
I would ask her , who am I
And grandma would say
Be true to yourself
And that is who you are to me .
Why grandma loved me so ,
I will never know the answer .
It was always worth it to go
To grandma's .
Grandma lived for the Lord .
She wants me to do the same .
Grandma's eyes were always on me .
I know she is watching me
Through heaven's door .

A Valley Of Hope

I am in a valley .
I don't know what to do
But my eyes are on you .
I wish , I could shake
The thunder from down here .
I was told to stand still
And the Lord will fight for me .
I don't want to stay in this valley .
My good steps are made by the Lord  .
Trouble is trouble
But misery is optional .
oh to get out of this valley ,
When I get out of this valley    ,
There will be a little more closure .
God collects my tears
For my pool of blessings .
My valley will turn into
A valley of hope .

Hey Big Guy

I would like to hold you
In my arms and keep you company forever
But it is a growing up world  .
Always smile within yourself .
Be firm in your principles .
Don't ever limit your success .
You may not love everyone
But you need to follow the law .
Hey big guy remember one more
Big thing I want you to remember
Nobody cares how much you know
It is how much you care
And how much you listen as you grow .

My Grandma's Wisdom

Grandma has experienced life .
She has the wisdom of time .
At my age at one I have none .
Oh how much her simple hug
Means to me today .
Grandma's history and wisdom
Connects us together .
She shares her life stories with me .
She always shows me the right way
And yet she would never steal my joy .
She always sales joy .
It is beautiful to feel
The encouragement that grandma
Is always able to transmit
To me in search of the meaning
Of faith and life .
I love you grandma always .

Grand-ma

I enjoyed climbing all over
Grandma's house .
Oh the wooden railing
And stairs .
Everything came down
To the way she touched
Me every day .
She was a treasure .
She could do anything
That had to be done .
She was a bridge builder
If you know what I mean .
The words said by grandma
Hold something special to me
Every day .
I have so much gratitude
For the foundation left  by grandma .
Oh grand-ma I love you so .
