I found time because of him .

Agent Of Change

How long am I to struggle ?

I was told not to be afraid

To be who I am .

Be happy but strong .

once an a while

I need to take a big step forward

Never backward .

When people say I'm not different

Or I'm not this or I'm not that and its a fact ,

Maybe they don't know me at all

Because we are all different

Yet we are all the same

In God's eyes .

For those who truly love me

Know that I'm different

And they take me for who I am .

There are days

When I have to try to just fit in ,

Some dumb people

Still exist today  .

I guess I will always struggle

With them

But I will all ways try to be happy

And strong and prove  them wrong .

I am an agent of change .

I can do almost anything  in my eyes

They will have to see

And then they may believe in me

As grandpa, I will always

As grandpa , I try to be your

Retire

When you retire 

You can maximize your own time .

You can sit down and look out

Through your big windowpanes

And think only of your own pain

If you have any that day .

At night or at dawn or any quiet time

You can go outside and thank God

you live out here in the plains  .

You are no longer

A slave to the clock 

Or 4 walls .

You get to live your life

The way you like it .

You get to go fishing

By yourself or with family

or with a friend or two .

You will be a made a pardoner

Of the South Dakota wind and sun some days !

I know you will be easy

on any man that is down .

You are as big as the river

In the plains to me .

You will be as free

As the birds that circles down the breeze .

Now that you are retired  ,

I hope to do more fishing

With my friend .

We will savor our fishing time

or any time together .

When you are with grandpa ,

Grandpa will always deliver

Happiness and love to you .

Grandpa will give you calmness

The best thing to do is what grandpa tells you

Grandma Is Here

She always made everything ok  .

She waited every day for me

In case , I needed to talk to her .

She was always willing to help me .

I would call her

I'd ask her something

Even when I knew her answer

Before I even asked her.

I just wanted to hear her voice .

Today I have so much to share with her

Even now that she is in heaven .

Oh I love her so .

The rainbow I see today

Are her eye brows

For she is always looking after me .

The tears for me are in the rain .

She cloth me with warm sunshine

When I run or fish or even hunt .

And she perfume the air with nature scents

These are just a few things that tells me

She is always with me .

First, I wished a-pon  a star !

You held my hands .

To Lean Or Dream

If you lean on someone to much

You will not ever be able to stand up on your own .

First , you have to remember ,

You will never be alone .

You got to start thinking differently

With time and failure and some success

I say , you should be tired of swimming
Against the current and just go with it
And to believe in what is .
I am here as your friend

There is never if only in a friend
Or in God
But what is in a friend's

I'm in grandpa land .
I love my grandson and then some .
It is an ungoing saga
For a brand new grandpa .
Grandpa will make mistakes
But it is with love and respect .
