My Quiet Place

My quiet place where I can sit

And talk to anyone any Hr of the day

Or night .

I can talk about hunting and fishing 

Ants the wind the sun the stars .

A place where I can just get away

For a little while .

Some people I talk to 

Do not talk back 

But they listen to me .

Some people will sit by me 

And not say a word 

And other times 

They are wiser than me 

So l listen .

Other times we start talking 

And laughing 

And that is good too.

I am doing great .

Sometimes I sit outside

And cry and God said 

It is OK to cry .

You fail more than

When you have success.

As a dad or grandpa

The sun is shining  on the wall 

So the sun must be coming down .

I think inside 

Every old man 

Is a young person

Wondering what the hell happened ?

I enjoyed my knees ankles and hip

When I was young .
