You Will See Me

First I am a seed you can not see

But I will be here before you know it .

Your heart starts beating

You can not believe it  .

I will be dancing with mommy

I am sucking my  thumb now

And that is ok  today .

Today I had a dream.

I will be a football player

Because mommy will first feel me kick !

I am sitting up straight mommy .

I can look around ,

But I want to look ahead not back .

I  like to listen to mommy sing

And oh her voice .

I want her to read to me .

Small Town

In a small town you have more time

To worry .

You have more time to know

A true friend or two or three .

In a small town, family and friends

Walk in your house

While others walk  out !

You can not hide in a small town .

In a small town everyone likes to talk

And take shots

But you need to push the shots

Off your back .

You need to prove yourself to yourself

Every day in a small town  .

God is watching you  ,

Everyone in a small town

Watches everyone  everyday and night !

In a small town everyone knows everyone .

If anyone has trouble everyone will pitch in

To help that’s the way it is in  a small town .

Living in a small town can be tough

But thank God I live in a small town .

It’s In The Cards

There is always fun in the cards .

What is the best deal possible ?

You might get a jack that’s a good start .

If you get a queen that goes with a jack

You can start to feel goofy and free !

You may get a face card or 2 or 3

And all the cards end up

In the same suit  that is cool .

You may get a joker

But you can not use it !

You will feel like a card shark

But that is only the first hand ,

But your playing with family and friends .

There is always a possibility to win,

But you need to play .

It is more than just in the cards !

You need to think and see and listen

To what is going on all the time .

The sound of muffled sobs

And the quiet rustling of tissues

As tearful eyes are wiped .

The tears of frustration

You might know the bitter taste of failure .

Happiness comes and goes

Get up and don’t give up .

Make peace with yourself

Kitty kitty kitty come here .

You got to momma cat  the litter !

By feeding them , then washing them ,

And then let them go !

You got to let the kittens

Scratch them self sooner or later

You got to stop the posy footen  around

With your kitties !
