Disappointment

Your mother will disappoint you .

Your father will disappoint you .

Your brothers and sisters

Will disappoint you .

Your spouse will disappoint you .

Your children will disappoint you .

Your friends will disappoint you .

You as well will disappoint them all at sometime .

Remember your mother and father,

Your brother and sisters ,

Your spouse , your children

And if you are lucky to have grandchildren

Will always have hope and love after every disappointment  .

Hope and love is what we all hope to share

My Grandma

I will never live my life

Without my grandma on my mind .

I would long to see her face just one more time

And hold her hand one more time .

She never told me face to face

That she loved me

But I knew she loved me

For she prayed for me every day .

On the stillness of this Sunday afternoon

I think of her flowers on her porch growing

And her garden glowing in the sun .

I will always have her memories with me .

Faith connects our weakness

To God's strength .

Peace is a treasure of treasure

n faith .

Faith is a desire that all may be one .

We can help each other to make it happen .

With faith you can hold a hand

In child like trust

And the way before you will open

Up step by step .

To have faith means to forgive

Because God has forgiven

The inexcusable in all of us .

Faith is yet so much unsaid

But faith is prayer .

God is the master of turning

A burden into a blessing .

Keep in touch with God always .

Stay near him in all your fights .

Get on the right diet .

Feed your hopes , your dreams ,

So eat the right food every day

And don't feed your history no more .

When He Snores

When the grandson snores ,

I love to hear the sound .

He is dreaming .

He is so extraordinary .

I know time is a trainer

That is teaching

Me to just wait

There is no limit

To what he can accomplish .

I want him to trust me ,

When he is in the dark .

In his dream

What is that he will imagine ?

With me he has my love and devotion.

His life is overflowing with love .

He will know that prayer is a voice of faith

And he will trust Jesus

For Jesus  knows him and cares for him

As I do .

Me and Jesus will make his life into

Something excellent and extraordinary

Beautiful not in just in his dream tonight

But for real even with his beautiful snoring

Into grandpa's big ears !

The weaker you are

The more gently I approach you .

Let your weakness

Be a door to me .

When you put your hope in me ,

You will be protected

From depression and self pity .

Hope is like a golden cord .

The more you cling to this cord ,

The more I bear the weight of your burden

A True Friend

If you want a true friend

Get a dog .

He will stay  with you

Thick or thin .

A life lived close to your dog

Will never be dull or predictable .

 He will keep you warm

When you are cold .

When you are with him ,

You are allowed to make mistakes .

You can talk to him

Any time of day or night .

He will listen to you always  .

He will listen to your wants

And always your dreams .

He will never say

It can't be done .

When I am up against the wall

And I am confused ,

I know what to do now .

I will listen to you .

If you told me to climb  .

The wall with your help , I will .

I will try to stay in step  with you .

When we come to a resting place  ,

About how it will all turn out  .

Christmas Dinner

What to serve at Christmas dinner , that was the

Question . We decided on chicken , potatoes and gravy ,

bread and butter , corn ,red Jell-O salad and pumpkin pie . It

wasn't a very big dinner because nobody came because

They had been home before that . Just our family was there .

In the afternoon we looked through our gifts and played

cards . For supper we ate leftovers . It was the first time we

had such a small Christmas dinner but we had fun anyway .

Negative pitchers in your mind do no good

I always take beautiful pitchers !

You know with anxiety you can not live

Try to watch beautiful people and things every day ,

Not the negative people and things .

That you can not control .

I wish , I could change

The word if to the word

Hope when ever I use

The word if these days .

There is so much if in my

World right now

If this if that and all that

That I want is everything good to happen .

Everyone tells me to take one day at a time .

I have hope .

I need hope .

My mind is all over the board  with ifs .

With God's help

I will use the word hope instead of if

Right this second .

When you start ahead ,

Don't waist time .

You need to dream to achieve something .

Your sky is golden .

You will hear the sound of joy

Better and it is a beautiful sound .

You will grow stronger

And watch someone else go ahead .

If someone passes you ,

That means they have more strength

And stamina than you .

You therefore keep moving forward

And don't use a stop watch
