When I heard of your passing 

My body slammed into the wall .

I stopped listening after that .

I looked for snap shots  of memories .

Crying did not stop the pain .

I even struggle sometimes now

When I remember something

You told me .

I will never forget you .

I will never get you out of my mind .

I struggle to comprehend

That your not here for me .

You know what I mean .

My grief will never go away

it is the price of love

I have for you even today .

I can not call you by phone

For help and understanding

No  more .

When I ran this morning early ,

It was just like yesterday

That you passed away

But you will always be with me

And I will always talk  to you .

You just will not talk back !

Tiny And Me

We would sit out back

In the mornings and watch

And wonder as an ant craws

along the cement crack  .

We would begin to understand God .

With every rainbow we saw

With two ends ,

We would wish for two new stars

That night .

With every smile we put on a face

That day ,

We knew there was peace .

With every child we played with

Or just talk to that day ,

We left them with laughter .

I learned lessons of life being with him  .

When I ran this morning in a way ,

He was with me

The Soldier Who Died

On behalf of the American families

For your duty and support

To keep us free .

The soldiers already in heaven

Must have heard God call your name .

You are now home at last in God's arms .

No more pain

No more sorrow

We will cherish your service every day

Because of what you did for all of us

I'm waiting to be comfortable  .

The days are long .

The years are short .

I just want to be another guy .

I try to look for something

One tough thing to do

When I run I am free ,

I never know what time

It is snowing now

When will it stop snowing ?

I'm so snow weary .

It is a winter of old to me .
