A Long Night

In the blackness of the night ,

I see your shadow passing by ,

I think in the darkness

Because I can not sleep .

I know I am not alone ,

But what is the world going to do to me ?

I know some of tomorrow's worries

Are past regrets .

When I do look up ,

I see the sparkle in the stars ,

God thank you for knowing me ,

Loving me and being by my side every night .

When you go outdoors

You have truly arrived .

Oh to have a dog outside with you

For it is such a loveable creature

That has tail wags instead of his tongue .

You can alter your life by altering

Your attitude of mine

When you go outside .

You don't need to wait for some rapture

That's future and far away

Be happy and joyous and glad

And soon you'll forget

That you were sad

Love can be seen through

A telescope

Not a microscope .

Love can not be washed .

It makes no difference

Where it is bestowed .

The love you liberate in your work

Is the love you keep .

Kindness is the oil that takes

The friction out of life .

When I'm running

After all these years

I'm running in my own zone .

It is like nothing can hurt me .

I was never fast

But I am free

Any problem I have can be heavy

But it is just a blur when I run

An early morning run

With the beauty of the world

And I am ready to take on the world .

The aim of education

Wisdom is to know

I just want just one .

When I take one drink ,

It will wear off me

After awhile my eyes will blink

Rejoice And Be A Happy Pilgrim

Lord help me to rejoice and be a happy pilgrim .

There are many things in life

That can make me a slave to melancholy thoughts

Despondency and gloom and lie in wait some mornings.

My mind is restless and filled with so many anxious thoughts

That cheerfulness seems like just a nice dream

That is past ,

I sometimes dwell on my own inner helplessness and conscious

Of how little I have accomplished in my life .

I know all of God's glorious promises belong to me ,

I confidently come to him with all the weight

That pulls me down .

He said your concern is my concern .

I know God wants me to be a happy pilgrim

I'm not to look at all that went wrong

In my life ,

But to see how God has made wonderful things

Out of what went to pieces for me

When I did those things ,

I believe in God so I will rejoice and be a happy pilgrim .

My angels are super people

All with a open heart .

They have many gifts .

They are the Lord's blessing .

They sing about love .

When I sing with tears in my eyes .

As I sit outback my back yard ,

I hear birds chirping in the early morning

And see the wind gently blowing in the trees .

I see the cumulus clouds

Stand out in contrast to the brilliant blue sky .

There is almost incessant noise

I enjoy the bright splashes

Of the real wide expanses of breathtaking beauty

Is God doing something new
