My Tribute To You

This is a tribute to you .
In the winter time the body seems harder to move .
When I go out side I simply get the chills .
It bites my nose and stings the toes ,
But all I have to do to get warm is think of you .
In the spring the body wants to dance .
I want to be with you ,
And never do the many spring things as a solo .
In the summer time everything looks beautiful
Along side the one I love .
There is music everywhere .
The doves hover over us
Like we are apart of their nest of instinctive love .
In the fall , love becomes more of a challenge .
When I go to a football game I think of ways
To tackle the challenge of loving you
With more ways than with communication .
When I go fishing or when I go hunting I think of you .
I feel like I could get the big fish today when I go fishing thinking of you .
I feel so high I could hunt ducks and pheasants with a rake .
Love is not all talk .
I just want to let you know all year round I think of you .
From love , laugh , black eyes , the cries , the shouts , the pouts

To Remind Me

I wrote a poem called Handicap
And a true friend wrote what he
Thought about my writing the poem .
A person questioned my writing .
Yes I did write it .
I have been writing over 40 years .
I have written some good ones and
some bad ones .
There are people who don't think I run .
I run the best I can .
To those who think I can not hunt ,
I do and I do hit the birds from time to time !
To those who think I don't fish .
I can fish with the best of them .
To my aunt who is near 80 who said years ago
You don't have a drinking problem .
Is in dream land. She never spent 4 days in a row
with me in over 30 years .
She know our family.
She once saw me beat my uncle at a game of horse.
She said you should be on the high school basketball game .
She hurt me again when she said that .
I know how good I am !!!
That is why my friends call me Coach Brock to this day .
My aunt likes to dream so do I .
To those who did not walk in my shoes ,
Or felt weird to shake my hand ,
Or to dance with me ,
Or even think I could not do some thing
They don't really know me .
2 of my uncles who knew me
Always made me feel like one of the family
But they are dead .
I talk to them when I run or fish.
I wish they could have read some of my poems.
I guess they help me do every thing even today.
I can hear them talking to me .
I can hear my dad and my grandma as well .

Every object out side is as white as a wedding gown .

A Handicap

The definition of a handicap is explained as a race , contest ,
Game etc , in which the better contestants are given certain
Disadvantages or the poorer ones certain advantage
So that all have an equal chance to win .
There are disadvantage or advantage given,
You can give a handicap too.
Something that puts a person at a disadvantage is a hindrance .
People give themselves a handicap by complaining to themselves ,
Then to others about their hair, lips , the size of their nose ,
The size of their ears , the size of this , the magnitude
Of that , the length of this and that .
When you take a photograph of someone you may see one or more
Physical handicaps in the photo , you may never see
All the handicaps in the photo or in you .
There are people who have many or just one handicap .
They may have lost something
But a person who has a handicap never loss hope or esteem
Of themselves .
It is what is inside us all that we share that is a heart
And therefore there will always be hope of equality
For us all .
We will all win one day .

Fishing Animal House Style

Go fishing with a buddy .
We take the boat to the river
And we could not find the key
No where thank God there was a #2 key
In the tackle box .
We went fishing to get out of the house
To relax ,
But we can be confronted with problems .
With the first fish we get ,

We are always in motion .
We feed our faces with rows and donuts
And drink what we need and then the fish
Will start to fight and then we will get out bites ,

Let us go to the river and sit by The evergreen trees .
Let us try and get a few walleyes .

Silence is another word for frugality , when you are angry .
When you are this way , you abnegate the feeling of happiness .
To tell the truth , you freeze all other feelings .
Silence being used this way only becomes a fungus .
As a fungus , it can only grow , so before to long ,
You will have to end the silence .
You may have to reach out your hand start out small and say hi !
If you try all the right ways and it still does not work and things ,
Become worse , you may have to take the person you hate and open
