The Bell

In the land of Mr Slick !

He can ring the dinner bell

At dinner time as the snow falls 

Or when it is cold 

Or in the heat of the day 

To bring the horses home 

So he could put his arm around the horse's neck 

Even when the sun is shining 

Or even when the stars are out at night .

A brother can ring the bell 

When his sister lost it .

Strong wind can ring the bell 

When nobody is home at all.

The memories of the bell 

Will never fade away for Mr Slick

The bell will always bring his friends

And family home ,

Your Own Back Yard

Be thankful for beautiful things in your life ,

In your own back yard .

You will find peace .

You will go away and you will follow your heart 

And come back some day 

To your old home and your old own back yard again .

There is still a bright beautiful moon 

And the stars are just where they are to be every night 

And also when you sit outside 

During the day the sun 

May sit above you and keep you warm 

And you will feel free and complete 

For there is always somebody

Fishing

Oh to go fish in a boat 

With a friend .

To sit together on the somewhat 

Slow row of the Missouri river flow .

On the river of the clear blue water .

We are blessed to see what the big sun shows us this day .

But oh with a full moon on the water this special night 

Oh how has God blessed us .

We even got some fish during our fish fights 

And we will fry the fish in the morning light .

Window

Every window tells a story .

When looking out the front window ,

I can see people walking by .

When looking out the kitchen window ,

I may see Pete the Squirrel early in the morning ,

Or I may see kids playing ,

Or the colorful birds fly by so free .

When I looked out the bedroom window ,

I can see the moon and the bright stars at night 

Or the quiet sunrise in the morning 

For it is my time 

When looking out any window 

With my eyes wide open

Our mothers strengthen

They read stories at bedtime ,

They put their children's needs
