A True Man

Walk like a man .
Act like a champ today .
Always give your all .
Remember little things affect little minds .
Never take anything for granted .
Don't be an if only person .
Squeeze as much as you can out of each day .
Always stay cool .
Don't talk till you have some thing to say .
You will then be a champ in your own eyes
But more than that you will be a true man .
And also a champ in someone else's heart .

Fishing

I went fishing on this early August morning .
The bright sun shinning through the trees
On Lake Louise .
The trees are so green .
The wind is blowing lightly .
On the quiet still water
The water looked like clear glass to me
The trees looked beautiful
with their reflection on the water .
How lucky I feel to be free this morning .
There is nothing out here but me .
I am so relaxed with the line laying on my finger
I could just go to sleep .
I wish I could do this more often .
Oh-oh-oh-oh oh my line is moving !
My tip is bending .
I better bring my line in and see
What more beauty there is out here
On Lake Louise .
Oh-oh-oh-oh fish on !
Look what I see
There is something tonight to eat .

My Father

My father watched over me .
When I was with him ,
I always found peace
At the end of each day .
A friendship shared , laugh ,
Smiley and squeaky .
When we went fishing ,
We would go to lake Louise .
He would say lake Louise
Was named after my mother .
We fished for bullheads ,
Maybe that is why I am so
Bullheaded it is in my blood .
When we went hunting ,
He would have his J. C . Penney shot gun
And I would have the home made gun shot gun
My dad made for me .
Dad and I never missed a shot
When we hunted together .
When we went horse back ridding ,
Dad on Tilley me on Topper
We would ride easy
Time was always on our side .
Tilley would get her Hamms beer
every Sunday !!!
Without him I miss these things we once did .
I tried to listen to him ,
He used smiley to talk with and about kids .
He used the word and sound of squeaky
To get a smile on a child's face .
When he took snap shots of people ,
He would ask them not to say cheese
But horse ban ewer so we would smile
And we would think of his horse Tilley.
Without my father these days has left a void
But I fill it with the joy of remembering him.
I took his hand when I was young
When I heard his call or whistle ,
When I run today ,
I know he is with me .
He always wished me the sunshine of tomorrow
And always said take one day at a time
Dad always said you are to be seen not heard
Dad I am bullheaded just like you !!!!

My Grandma

My grandma was always able
To cheer me up
When ever I was down
Like nobody else could .
Some one would say
You are to be seen not heard
But at grandma's house
I could let myself go for I was always ok
Some one would always say
That I was spoiled by my parents
But I had my grandma to keep me grounded
And to keep me on the straight and narrow
When my world would become dark ,
Grandma would lead the way with her glowing smile
Grandma shined in the rain
My grandma was like a waterfall's rainbow
Grandma shined in the rain
She was a gift as a grandma
She was grandma to everyone she met
I wish , she was here today

You Can Do It

You can not believe
You can breathe .
You can not spit ,
You can not swallow
And what is sweat ?
You may even shake
You do what it takes
It is ok to have nerves
You do it ,
I am your coach .
I believe in you
You see .
