To Guide

If a child lowers her gaze 

And buries her face 

In her mother's neck .

The mother will pray

For her child to come 

Out of her shell 

Then her mother realized 

She had been praying 

For the wrong thing 

To focus on what would make 

Her comfortable '

In stead of what made the child 

Comfortable .

Remember praying for God to change the child .

She should have been praying 

For God to change her .

When she changed her ;prayers ,

Her stress over her child's shyness lifted .

The child grew out of her shyness

And the mother's prayers to help her child  .

Be herself .
