After All These Years

We were protected by 2 oceans 

But not no longer not after all these years .

Remember , a man who steps in a river 

Never steps in the same place in the river twice .

Sometimes memories of you will sneak out of my eyes 

And row down my checks .

I know to understand everything 

Some things will just never make sense .

Remember , do not be afraid to try 

To make things better .

Remember , with memories and wisdom 

We all hope to have courage to know 

Ourselves and to help others 

After all these years .
