Thank You Grandma

There is comfort in that you

Will always be by me .

You told me I need to grow up .

You told me I am responsible

For myself .

You taught  me not to use the words

I can not ,

Not to use the word stop ,

Or the word never .

You taught  me to use the words

Yes and yes I can

And the words Lord I will pray

And the words Be happy

For life is affirmed .
