Why Me

All people who have ever experienced 

Sexual assault , armed robbery , physical abuse 

Or some other personal attack that people 

Will never talk about .

At the end you will say why me .

The only explanation not really comforting 

Is because of a sinner .

My grandma would tell me .

While God never promised  life would be easy .

He did promise His abiding 

Presence in every situation .

The promised Helper and Comforter

Is the ever present presence

Will fight for us , pray for us ,

Pray with us and dwells within us ,

Guarding and protecting us

In every time of trouble .

We will suffer physical 

Or emotional harm ,

But the Lord will always 

Hold us securely in His arms .

Remember , to always take

One day at a time .
