Jesus did not promise us
That following him
Would not be easy .
It may be seem
Safer to keep
To our usual routines
And wear a mask
Rather than take a risk
By speaking about and acting
On our faith .
But remember James telling us
That if we faithfully persevere ,
The Lord promises us a great reward .
