If I can lighten my grandson's load
As he goes down life's road .
Grandpa's heart would be so happy
To lessen his misery .
I want to fill his heart with hope
And also give him courage
To help him cope .
I want to always replace his sadness
With a smile .

I want to brighten his day
And chase his dreary cares away .
So he can have a happy day
That is what grandpa wants to see ..
