Like You

I want to be like you .

I want to be with you .

Help me not to judge others today

Let me learn this until it changes me

Into someone more like you .

I want to abide in your presence .

I want you to forgive me for doing

Those things in the past 

That I shouldn't have done 

And for not doing those things I should 

Have done 

Because I want to be more like you ,

Even if I have to start today .

Each new day gives me new reasons 

To be like you .

I remember your words even today 

When I am worried or fearful ,

When I need encouragement 

And Inspiration  .

I can hear you speaking to me

While I even run .

I need you near me today

For I will always want to be like you .
