I do not want to get caught up in trying
To please everyone and be so popular .
Give me the courage to speak up
When someone wants me to do something wrong .
I don't want to make fun of others
And never be cruel to anyone .
I always want a loving heart
And always find the goodness in everyone .
I need the strength to always encourage everyone
I know to go in the right direction
Or to just walk away
If they want to go the wrong way .
