We Are Together

When fishing at night by the river

In total darkness  ,

We will fish silently .

You may be with someone 

Who needs encouragement .

We look along the river about 50 feet .

We see a large clouds of fireflies 

Lifting up into the darkness .

They perform a pirouette

And then they move on .

They brighten the area for a few seconds .

The fireflies let their light shine 

Into the world and on to lives of others .

When we encounter someone who feels

Depressed or discouraged 

Or who has lost hope ,

Remember You have an opportunity 

To show the light by fishing together tonight  ,

With someone who might need encouragement

By just getting one fish tonight in God's light .
