You gave me eyes to see
Those around us as you see them .
You gave me a heart to share your love .
You gave me the language everyone understands .
You helped me silence all the other voices
Around me that I do not need to hear .
I want to hear your voice .
When you approach me in the stillness of the night
And with your trust ,
You strengthen me .
I want and need a buffer zone of silence around you
In order to focus on things that are unseen to me
But not you .
