We are often disappointed
Or frustrated with things
Do not go according
To our plans ,
But I have learned in these times
To trust that God will use them for good .
And without fail , each detour
Has drawn me closer to God
And often helped me grow
In mind and spirit .
Thankfully every change in direction
Comes with an unchanging God
Who guides us through it .
