Our 40th Reunion

After 40 years of being out of school ,

We where all to meet up on the same street

Where we all once started school .

We did not get lost coming back to our old home town

And  the same old street to see each other .

We recognized almost everyone .

Everyone looked almost the same

Everyone 's voice was just like yesterday .

Our eye sight was lacking .

Our body WT. in 40 years did not change !

We once gave slaps on the back  to one another

But know we give hugs .

We talked about the good old days ,

Not about the pain in our legs .

40 years ago we did not need to sleep !

Today we all need our beauty sleep.

Before 10 o'clock even if coach did not  gave us his orders tonight !

We have to watch the local news .

We all have to watch what we drink  and eat

Because of all the pills we have to take  .

We went to a dance before it got to late

And only one couple fell down on the dance floor,

Before I had to tell everyone

I had fun at our reunion

Before I went out the door .

I needed my sleep

Because II am getting old  !
