My Grandchild

I want you to walk with me

And that I can hear your little footsteps

As you follow grandpa .

I want you to feel free

To talk to me

And that grandpa can hear you

And understand you the best I can .

I love holding your hand .

I want to give you strength

When you are weak

And give you courage

When you need it .

Whenever you walk with grandpa

Or even sit beside me ,

I want to try and take away

All your worries and help make you feel happy .
