It is hard to be a Christian sometimes .
We do not understand why God allows us ,
Or those we love to fall ill
Or why some in the world are hungry ,
Troubled and oppressed .
But being a Christian means
We are in it for the long haul .
We do not give up
When our best laid plans
Seemed doomed to failure .
We persist in hope
Because the Lord persist in love .
