There have been days
When I pray with each step
Because of anxiety
As a result of an illness in my family
And the feeling of isolation .
I have had tearfully prayed
At night but also in the light of day .
I have felt God and my grandma
And my mom and dad nudging me
To go to church .
I am sometimes filled with fear .
Yes , God knows how hard it is for me
And it is a challenge
But my small steps of obedience
Does help me move forward each day .
