I pretended as a kid
To be Casey Tibbs .
As I got older ,
I pretended to be Lou Brock .
I played ball the best I could
I even took a bat and hit the rocks .
I pretended to be coach John Wooden .
I pretend to be a coach even today .
I pretend to be an athlete
Even today at my age .
I run through the tape
With everything I have .
For real I am a finisher
I am a winner
That is true
That is what I try to be .
I don’t pretend that believe me .
