Why am I so discouraged ?
Why is my heart so sad ?
I will put my hope in God .
Tonight I feel so blue .
The world looks so dark ,
Everything seems to be going wrong
And my heart is so sad .
I know these feelings
Are a part of me tonight .
I need to remind myself
That God is unchanged
By dark cloudy skies
And my gloomy heart .
His grace is always the same
As bright and hopeful as ever .
When I am overcome by sadness ,
He helps me to see
His light shimmering
Just beyond the clouds .
Thank you for your grace
Which is a bright promise
And a great comfort to me tonight .
