Heard By God

For some , Christmas is not always

A happy time but when feelings 

Of disappointment or loss this year 

Is magnified as everyone else seems 

To be experiencing Christmas cheer .

God does hear our need and sent us Jesus ,

His Son to be born for you 

And He will bring you joy .

Remember , grab a child 

Or better yet a grandchild 

If you are lucky .

Remember , Jesus is the Prince of Peace ,

The sure evidence that you are heard by God 

That in the midst of your distress 

Though the devil and the world at times 

Seem to taunt you ,

Jesus was dedicated to his Father's service 

Of exalting the lonely .
