Move To The Rear

Grandparents move to the rear 

Over Christmas 

And when they pray and worry

And when grandparents can not sleep 

They count their blessings .

There is no hurry 

To get up early Christmas morning .

We know with Jesus at Christmas

We are not alone .

We do not need to reach out 

To pull our grandchild to his feet 

And set him up right 

And steady his little frame 

And give him emotional support 

And comfort ,

Because he will be with his mommy 

Christmas morning .

His grandparents know God is pleased

For what we give our grandchild when we can 

If not right now 

But when needed .

But right now this time is for us .

Our job is to love our grandchild 

And everyone without stopping 

Not to inquire whether or not 

If they are worthy ?

Everyone is worthy .
