The best cooks in the world
Was my grandma and my mom .
They could cook without measuring .
It is a pinch or a handful or a splash !
They knew the right amount of each ingredient ,
Or just a little more .
How much of the Holy Spirit
Does God pour into a life ?
A teaspoon , a pinch , a cup ?
The Spirit is given without measure .
God , does not parcel out the Spirit
But gives it to us abundantly .
The Spirit does not spoil .
This is not a game to be played on Sundays .
God's gift to us are beyond words
And anyone's capacity to measure .
